Performing Arts Personas for Teens

In this workshop, tweens and teens will create original characters utilizing performing arts techniques including costume and prop creation, improvisational theater, movement/dance, and makeup. Drawing inspiration from the legacies of theater, dance, cosplay, circus arts, and LGBTQIA+ performing art forms, participants will be empowered through creativity and self-expression.

Through games, visual art, and kinesthetic learning kids will deepen their knowledge on our local watershed, water conservation, and water treatment and distribution in Longmont. 
Geared for ages 4-9. Adult programs hosted by City of Longmont in partnership with Colorado Water Stories will be offered in conjunction with children's programs. 

New Voices: Shifting Perspectives through Creative Writing

Boulder Public Library Teen Program
The novel James by Percival Everett reframes the iconic story of Huckleberry Finn through the eyes of Jim, Huck’s enslaved travel companion. Join Dandelion Arts Collective for this unique creative writing workshop where students will have the opportunity to explore other iconic stories through the experience of another character in the story. Students can utilize practices such as song-writing, poetry/spoken word, and writing/journaling to dive into a different perspective. Ages 13+

Join Dandelion Arts Collective for a weekend adventure at FcMod exploring nature’s wonders through creative movement, games, dance, music, and art. Inspired by bees, trees, mycelium, and more, kids will deepen their connection to the Earth through play. This is a space for all identities and abilities. Geared for families in preschool to early elementary, with all ages welcome.
